Critical Mass

Critical Mass: Provo.

This is a photo from our night ride in November. Critical Mass is typically found in large cities, such as San Francisco and Seattle. However, there is a bike following in Provo that also merits the bikers to the streets. There are some hipster bike kids in my ward who live down the street who started it. I was first invited in September, and the numbers have grown every month. We get together the first Friday of the month to rally together, exert some bike rights, and hang out and be cool. My ride is my late grandfather's blue 80s Schwinn cruiser. Look out.

Only in Provo? No.

Although this poster found near my residence was in fact posted in Provo, No Shave November's influence found its way to Boise, Idaho.

My 15 year-old brother Adam had some sick facial hair. I'll leave sick ambiguous.

Oh hey. Yes. This nice photo. So, I went to a church service project, where we cleaned up our community of Provo, Utah, raking up leaves and such. And my friend Ashley and I saw this nice boy with this shirt; I initally almost threw up, but then begged her to take a photo of us.

Read it carefully; don't be mistaken.

Also note the Cabela's hat. I think this kid means business.

Ahlan.

Last Wednesday, I ran into a boy in my ward. After a moment of acknowledging each other's existence (Hey, How are you? Great. How are you? Can't complain), the nice boy asked where I was headed. "I'm off to teach Arabic at a hippie charter school. And you?" That knocked his socks off. He was headed to lunch. Oh my adventures.

Fun The Alchemist quote:

"He still had some doubts about the decision he had made. But he was able to understand one thing: making a decision was only the beginning of things. When someone makes a decision, he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places he had never dreamed of when he first made the decision" (76).

I am really enjoying this book. Trying to savor it and such.

Remebrances

Some of my favorite things: Boise; fall; my brother Adam; my softshell; my BYU friends; the North end. All of these things came together last October, when my life was forever changed with Josh Ritter. Favorite Josh Ritter songs include: Kathleen, Girl in the War, Good Man, and To the Dogs or Whoever.
